Wishing to experience the onsen in private? There are some ryokan that have private reservable baths that are perfect for families and couples.
Ryokan will lend their guests a simple yukata to wear during their stay. There is a yukata rental shop in town where you can rent a yukata for the day as well.
Yukata really add to the town’s charm, most guests will spend their entire stay in their yukata, wearing it to the bathhouses, restaurants and around town.
Nestled in the northern mountains of Hyogo Prefecture, just one train stop from the Sea of Japan. JR passes can be used to get to Kinosaki Onsen from Kyoto in 2.5 hours and Osaka in 3 hours.
