Newly remodeled in July 2007. Have a drink at our newly installed bar in your yukata (cotton kimono, traditional Japanese dress supplied by the inn) for the ultimate experience. The weeping willows that line the Otani River allows guests to Kinosaki to fully experience the feel of a traditional Japanese town. You can enjoy this site and more as you tour around the town and try one or all seven of the open-air public hot spring baths. While here, also enjoy trying our 4 different types of locally brewed beers. They go perfect with dinner or as a refreshing drink after the hot springs.

Yamamotoya is in a convenient location at the center of Kinosaki Onsen, allowing you to visit all of the seven bathhouses on foot.

A must for all history buffs, the Yamamotoya is the oldest Ryokan in the Kinosaki Spa Resort. Boasting 350 years of history, and a major renovation in 2007, this is a classic Ryokan that maintains both traditional, and acceptance of modern ways. It is about 8 minutes on foot from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station, and within walking distance of all 7 of the bathhouses that make Kinosaki famous across Japan. It is also close to the ropeway, Onsenji Temple and Marine World. Rooms are all Japanese style. The rooms all have private toilets, but guests use the inns hot spring baths to bathe. The spas are the reason most people come to Kinosaki. The inn has large men’s and women’s baths, as well as a private use open air bath (1,050yen / 40 minutes) The onsite bar serves beer from the inns micro brewery, and is a great place to cool off after a session in the hot spring. Check in from 15:00 / Check out until 10:00

Experience and enjoy the traditional Japanese atmosphere in the serene tea ceremony room.

At the bar, enjoy freshly brewed beer from our own brewery. We can cater the fresh beer to your guest room at dinner time too. There are also wine, sake and shochu at the bar.

Private open-air bath for use with reservation only.

Why don't you do public bathhouse touring wearing a comfortable yukata? Yukata is a light Japanese robe. You can choose one you like from 100 varieties of yukatas. Don't worry about how to wear a yukata. A "nakai-san" serving lady will show you how to put in on. The rental fee is 525 yen.
